Five star recognition for Perthshire self catering provider
Mansio Holiday Apartments, based in historic Crieff, is the latest Perthshire accommodation provider to join an elite band of world class accommodation providers with five star status.
The newly renovated luxury holiday apartments, The Strathearn at Croftweit and The Penthouse at St Ninians, combine the luxury of a boutique hotel with the freedom and flexibility of personal holiday accommodation.
Set in the renowned holiday town of Crieff, the apartments offer the ideal base for touring, golfing, fishing, walking, country sports, culture, adventure, history and heritage. Visitors looking for a more relaxing time can also enjoy the luxuries on offer.
Mansio Apartments are only one of two self catering accommodation providers in Crieff to receive the coveted award and join a group of quality accommodation providers in the Perthshire area who continue to raise standards and reach the top tier of the grading scheme.
Each apartment has its own unique style offering spectacular views of Crieff and The Strathearn Valley and designed to suit discerning visitors looking for a first class holiday experience. Incorporating organic fabrics, quality furnishings, modern technology and local produce the apartments offer everything you should need in the way of comfort and style.
VisitScotland assesses the standard of accommodation throughout Scotland. A five star grading means Mansio received top marks in categories including hospitality, service, cleanliness, accommodation, comfort and food.
Verona Sutherland, owner of the apartments said: “I’ve been working tirelessly to ensure the apartments are up to a standard that befits the fantastic surrounds and to receive the five star accolade is the icing on the cake.
“Every care is taken to ensure that guests receive the highest levels of care and not only do we meet their needs we aim to exceed them.”
To gain a Quality Assurance (QA) award, businesses are assessed every year by a Quality Advisor who has considerable experience in tourism. The QA Scheme year runs from August each year to July the next and during each visit, the grading assessment is not only made but information and advice is available from the quality advisor.
Vicki Miller, VisitScotland Perthshire area director, said: “With this five star award Mansio Holiday Apartments joins the crème de la crème of self catering businesses in Scotland.
“By offering something slightly different and showing a real commitment to the tourism industry, Mansio has an excellent opportunity to really prosper in an increasingly competitive sector. Our ambition is, and will continue to be, to increase tourism spend by 50% by 2015; by offering a wide choice of quality accommodation coupled with exceeding visitor expectations, Perthshire will be in pole position to achieve the target.”
